What has been happening at Paperzone?
A verse on one of Jane’s cards reads...
“Once in a while right in the middle of an ordinary day, life gives us a fairy tale”
and that’s exactly what it felt like one day a month ago when out of the blue we were
offered an empty shop two doors down from Paperzone.
Within hours we had taken up the offer, signed on the dotted line and with the help of my
son-in-law, husband, staff and some excellent tradesmen the place started to take shape.
The minute we closed Paperzone at 1.00pm on Saturday 19th July my trusty staff went into action.
Girls certainly can do anything and with speed, laughter (and a little wine) we pushed, shoved, dragged and
manoeuvred counters, shelving and heavy stands throughout the weekend until we had a much more user
friendly Paperzone shopand our new space, if not perfect, at least presentable enough for Jane to teach a class
on the Monday morning.
Thanks team. You were amazing!
We absolutely love our new space and feedback from our regular customers has been very positive.
We still have a wish list for both shops including more empty counter space for choosing papers.
Please bear with us - we are on the case!
Meantime I am very excited to have more than a 12 inch space to create my wedding invites!
Our new classroom means we can now offer more classes and fun events.
On Friday 2nd July we ran our first Midnight Madness crop night from 7pm til midnight.
The evening was booked out and a fabulous fun night was had by all!
We may have to offer Midnight Madness twice a month as there is already a waiting list for August.
If you would like to attend this fun event, please register your interest.
From July 16th I will be leaving my daughter Annmarie in charge of Paperzone for a month while I take her
father overseas to spend some of our children’s inheritance.
(I should perhaps mention here that I have promised said husband that I will never ever take over another shop....)
Mid August will be our second birthday. An incredibly hectic fun filled couple of years; lots of hard work but so rewarding with fantastic support from our loyal customers and many new friendships formed.
Without this support, help and encouragement, there would be no Paperzone.
I will drink a toast to you all in Paris!
